Payson Community Kids

A Place to Belong

Our Mission

Payson Community Kids is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that serves underprivileged children and families in the Payson, Arizona community.

The mission of Payson Community Kids is to promote healthy growth and development for Payson's children, encouraging positive participation in the community. The program provides assistance with basic material needs like clothing, healthy food, and school supplies. The children also benefit from positive social interaction and educational activities which encourages the development of positive self-esteem and stronger academic success.

After-School Program:

(Monday-Friday: After school until 5:00pm) Open to all school-age children from kindergarten to high school. Students receive a snack when they arrive. Afterwards, students must complete their homework before they can participate in the activities of the day.
Activities may include: art projects, reading, team-building exercises, birthday activities, playing outside, and guest speakers.

Literacy Program:

The Rim Country Literacy Program and Payson Community Kids work together to provide a reading program for the children of PCK. In addition to the regularly scheduled Wednesday afternoon reading session, a "Reading Program" is now included in the Tuesday and Thursday After-School Program. The program uses the online reading application RazKids, and has resulted in the children reading dozens of books per month.
Thank you, Rim Country Literacy Program!
